Engagements

Three ways to work with us.

Each engagement starts with a working session. Not a sales pitch. To confirm we're the right team for your problem before any commitment.

2–4 weeks

Workflow audit

A focused diagnostic on a single workflow that's leaking value. We map the current process, locate the failure points, and produce a prioritized list of where AI would (and would not) move the needle.

You walk away with

  • Workflow map with failure points marked
  • Prioritized AI opportunity list
  • Sized economic case for the top opportunity
  • Go / no-go recommendation
Most popular 8–16 weeks

AI system build

End-to-end design and ship of a workflow AI system. The full seven-stage method, with working artifacts at each stage and a production-ready system at the end. Your team operates it; we make sure they can.

You walk away with

  • Working production system (engine + agent + dashboards)
  • Documented architecture & data model
  • Operating runbook & team handoff
  • 30-day post-launch support window
3–6 months

Fractional AI partner

Embed with leadership as a fractional senior partner. Strategy, architecture review, and selective hands-on building. Calibrated to where the team needs senior judgment most.

You walk away with

  • AI roadmap aligned to business strategy
  • Architecture decisions reviewed & documented
  • In-flight builds unblocked
  • Internal team coached up to senior judgment
Capability stack

What we actually build.

Most SimSo engagements assemble these primitives in some combination. They share a common spine. One data model, one auth boundary, one method.

Recommendation engines

LLM-driven decision-support that surfaces the next-best action with reasoning, citations, and a confidence score. Schema-enforced JSON output. Built so the expert reviews and the model proposes. Never the other way around.

Stack: Anthropic API · structured output · domain-specific guardrails

Agent pipelines

Multi-stage chains that close the loop after the work is done. Parse unstructured input, plan the response, draft each communication, queue everything for human approval. Linear by default for predictability. Graduate to tool-calling when the use case earns it.

Stack: pipeline orchestration · provenance tracking · approval queues

Cohort & pattern dashboards

Classical ML. Clustering, decision trees, simple classifiers. Running over your accumulated history. Auditable, fast, no API call required. Surfaces the patterns single-transaction views can't see.

Stack: in-browser ML · SVG visualization · revenue waterfalls

Risk & routing predictors

Lightweight models that decide which cases deserve full LLM attention and which can take the templated path. Keeps inference cost bounded as volume grows. Trained from your own historical decisions, not generic benchmarks.

Stack: feature engineering · decision trees · cost-aware routing

Static-first delivery

For demo and validation surfaces, we ship static-first: HTML, CSS, vanilla JS, with the model called from a serverless proxy. No build steps, no framework lock-in, deployable to any commodity host. Production migrations happen on the team's schedule, not ours.

Stack: HTML/CSS/JS · Cloudflare Workers · CDN delivery

Strategic advisory

For leadership teams already mid-build: architecture reviews, methodology audits, board-ready economic models. Hands-on enough to be useful, scoped tightly enough to keep cycles short.

Stack: review docs · ADRs · board-ready memos

Honest scope

What SimSo doesn't do.

We're a small team with a tight focus. If your problem isn't here, we'll say so and try to point you somewhere useful.

Not our lane:

  • Pure data science / model training engagements
  • Generic chatbot or "GenAI experience" projects
  • RPA or no-code automation buildouts
  • Long-form managed services / staff augmentation

Where we are sharp:

  • Workflows with a clear "moment of decision" or handoff
  • Domains where expert-in-the-loop is non-negotiable
  • Projects where the business case has to clear a board
  • Teams that want a working system, not a deck

Not sure which engagement fits?

Send a few sentences about the workflow you want to fix. We'll reply with a recommendation. Audit, build, or fractional. And the rough scope of each.
